Love of Mine.

LOVE OF MINE

Love of mine, when I die

Will you be there to hold me?

As I draw my last breath, as my heart can beat no more

and I encounter death.

Will you be there to comfort me?

Love of mine, I will follow you into the dark

Not even death can keep the two of us apart.

Don’t cry, I’ll be there to hold you

When that line goes flat, and your eyes close

For the very last time.

Love of mine, If I grow ill

Will you be there to hold me still?

As I cry with fear, frightened by my inevitable death

Will you be there to guide me through my last step?

Love of mine, as you face the blinding light

I’ll be by your side, sharing your fight

As your hand clasps mine, and you whisper

that you are afraid to die

I’ll be by your side my angel, as you return

To your rightful home, up there.

In the sky.

Love of mine, If I leave your side

To embark on the last journey of life

Will you be there to hold me?

When my body shivers, and I lose my mind

Will you be there for me?

Love of mine, when you die

I’ll be right behind you, to follow you into the dark

and into the sky.
