The Burden Bearer

As I crawl to my cradle at night,

to rest my soul from this endless fight

I shut my eyes, to escape all light

Once the darkness thickens, my mind goes wild

So many dark thoughts, all within this one child

I try my best to shut it all out

But it smothers me, recklessly and without doubt

I shiver with fear

When my mind visit places it should not go near
