The Invisible Companion

It is at night he feels the weakest
Broken down, emotionally depleted
Stricken by grief, he is defeated
By the pain of leaving, the one he needed
Their love was over, once he cheated
Insane with hatred he does not stop it, instead he feeds it
Worshipping his anger, his rage, he shields it.

Beneath his fire, lies depression
A note and a gun, his own confession
Masqueraded vengeance, his sole profession
The mark of betrayal, his new obsession
His sole molested, by his own deception

Once again he wakes up restless
Misery and anger, has him bested
The light in him, severely tested
He sleeps all day, but does not feel rested
When in public, he laughs and jester
But deep inside of him, depression nested

“underneath anger is there is fear,
    underneath fear there is love,
    underneath love there is hope.”

the first two lines I heard in a movie last night, you might have seen it, “funny people” with Adam Sandler?

the last line I just threw in there. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I absolutely agree. I have always been keen on absorbing and understanding both the bright and dark side of human emotion, and I tend to think that art springs from both, but my art is largely driven by my moments of pain and struggle.

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
