We all have a past. You have one. Your best friend does too. I have one. However, when you embark on a shared journey as a brand new couple, the smart thing to do is to act like you don’t have a past, and at the same time use the mistakes of yesterday as guidance to make sure that you don’t repeat the very same mistake that cost you the first time around.
We are all scarred. Stained. Hollow. We’ve been burned before and we’ve (hopefully) learned from it. If we haven’t, we are in trouble and we’ll lead a sad life, where old mistakes are repeated with the same result: Heartbreak.
Welcome to heartbreak, everybody.
