A Wise Man Once Said

“It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.” – Julius Caesar

Again with the Caesar worshipping, eh?
Yes, once more I post a thought provocative quote of his. When I read this quote, I think of choosing death over being left behind, watching the people you love go before you. I share this view, and I assume many of you do as well. This quote, and others like it, proves to me that Caesar had a grasp of the human being that few of us “mortals” share. He seemed to understand what goes on in the human mind on another level, which might be why he had so many loyal followers, who were willing to die for him.

Caesar may have been responsible for a whole lot of death, warfare and despair, but the man was also ahead of his time and a great thinker worthy of mentioning in other terms than “dictator”, “warlord”, “conquerer” and “tyrant”.
